Bryan Fry stands for freedom. As a son, husband, father, uncle, nephew, teacher, school administrator, church member, US citizen–really just as a human being–Bryan desires to see people allowed to be free and to use that freedom to stand for what is right, help others, and become productive economically. Bryan stands against any government intrusion which unnecessarily restricts people’s freedom to make the best decision for their lives.
Bryan is no libertarian, however. Government exists to reward good and punish evil, meaning that a universal morality must exist in order for government to be successful. The weak must be protected and justice must be maintained in order to have a civilized society.
Serving as some examples, unborn human babies are at people at their weakest and must be protected by all civilized governments while they are in their mothers’ wombs. Justice may demand some lose their freedom as a result of criminal actions which harm civilization. A strong police force and military are necessary to protect the rights of free people.
However, why should we use a stop sign when a yield sign will do? Why should we have a traffic light if a blinking light works just fine? Restrictive government will only serve to limit what free people can accomplish!
